APPRECIATE YOUR DAY

Prepare yourself for changes in the quality of your days as you set out to achieve your goals

some days will seem bleak
Some days can seem bleak

Prepare yourself for changes right now. Some  days everything will go better than you expected and others, few things will go right. You won't know why, but don't allow yourself to engage in negative thoughts or feelings. The sun will come up tomorrow, despite how you feel today, giving you another chance to retry whatever did not work for you today. Don’t make the common mistake of condemning such days as “bad” days. You will rarely have a day when NOTHING goes right! That's right. Blanket condemnation of the 24 hours of any given day puts a damper on your vision for that day and makes you less aware of your true accomplishment in your quest to achieve your goals.

MEMORIES

Remember the toddler stage in your quest to walk? There were days you had so many bruises that it would have been ok if you quit your attempts to walk. But you didn't. The desire was so much stronger than the current condition. The “day” was not a factor in the quest to achieve your goal. It simply was a portion of time in your execution of strategy. If your execution was not effective, then you had to do it over and correct the flaws. This outlook is central to your quest to achieve your current goals now.

MISCONCEPTIONS

Somewhere in our adult development we pick up common misconceptions accepted unquestioningly by others. They may sound good but they really don't compute. If we want to succeed in our quest for the breakthrough in achieving our current goals, we have to rid  ourselves of these irrational ideas. The concept of “bad” days is one such idea given credence over time. Even though they don't exist, they've become convenient scapegoats for our moments of unpreparedness. And while we engage in such indulgences, Time moves on.
